The Africa Council at American University will be hosting its third annual Africa Career Cafe on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in the Mary Graydon Center Rooms 5 & 6 at American University from 6:30PM to 8:30PM.
We cordially invite your organization to join the African Council, the Career Center and the Alumni Office for a night of food and socializing with students and other off-campus organizations interested in Africa. Since it will be the beginning of the Spring 2010 semester, university students will be looking for internship, job, and volunteer opportunities. The Africa Council would like to connect those students interested in African and global affairs with your organization and several others.
The council will provide tables and chairs to participating organizations, and attendance is free of charge. Furthermore, students and alumni will be informed prior to the event to bring resumes and/or other pertinent materials to aid in the recruitment process.
All attendees should RSVP to http://africacareercafe.eventbrite.com. Please let us know if you represent an organization and you would like to reserve a spot for tabling.
For general information contact Lindsay Lawless or Dr. Carl LeVan at africacouncil@american.edu.
